About the Museum
The ground floor of the Stadsmuseum is freely accessible during opening hours. The City Museum is literally in the middle of the city. The museum shop is also accessible to everyone, just like the Culture Café.
The museum part is located on the floors (paid entrance), including the presentation of the City History. In addition, there are temporary exhibitions in the field of art, history or a current theme, such as the Hanse or the Belgian camp in the First World War.
Until 7 January 2018, the Harderwijk City Museum will be exhibiting the Huszár van De Stijl exhibition. In the ‘100 Years of The Style’ Year 2017, the City Museum Harderwijk organizes an exhibition dedicated to visual artist Vilmos Huszár (Budapest 1884 – Harderwijk 1960), one of the founders of the art movement De Stijl. From the 1930’s he lived and worked in the village Hierden situated near to Harderwijk.
